Millet pudding tastes similar to semolina. However, it is free of gluten, so it can be consumed by children on a gluten-free diet. As a dessert or lunch, it is recommended for all babies, because it is a source of valuable vitamins, it can be served in many ways (with your favorite additions), is mild in taste and works well in the diet of an older baby (preferably without a sweetener). Its preparation is very easy. So let's get to work.

  • 5 tablespoons of millet
  • 350 ml millet, rice or other milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil or clarified butter (it is better tolerated than classic butter)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup / agave or other sweetener

Roast the porridge in a frying pan briefly to get rid of bitterness and at the same time to bring out a beautiful aroma, then grind into coarser flour. Heat 250 ml milk with the addition of butter or oil. To 100 ml of remaining cold milk we add ground millet and sweetener and mix.

Pour cold milk with millet into hot milk and, while stirring, wait for it to boil. We keep on gas until the pudding thickens. We serve with our favorite fruit.
