Ovulation test is test strip. Most often sold in the amount of several pieces in one package. After tearing the packaging, we see a thin strip, one end of which is highlighted in color (for which we grab when inserting the strip into the container with urine), at the other end there is an area that should be inserted into the container. There is also a "max" line on the strip, beyond which you should not immerse the strip during the test.

Ovulation test interpretation of results

How to perform an ovulation test?

Urine is collected between 10 and 20.00 in a clean and dry container. It is very important that this is NOT the first urine after waking up. If we do the test for several days, it is worth collecting urine at more at the same time. It is worth limiting the amount of fluid 2 hours before urinating, especially in the summer when you drink more.

Take the test gently from the sachet, grasp the upper part without touching the test site. We immerse the strip in a container with urine, but not above the MAX line. After 5 seconds, we remove the strip and lay it on a flat, dry and clean surface. During this time, we can observe the movement of urine on the strip and the appearance of lines. A positive result is usually seen quickly - in 40 seconds. However, the manufacturer recommends waiting 10 minutes to confirm a negative result. However, we do not take into account the result after 10 minutes, because it can be wrong.

Ovulation test - how to interpret the results?

Negative result - when only the control line or control and test line appears, but the latter is brighter.

Positive result - when two lines of one color appear or when the test line is darker than the control line. If we receive such a result, it can be said with great probability that ovulation will occur within 24-48 hours.

The result is invalid - when no line appears on the test.
