Is it worth choosing Lego Juniors? Are they really better for younger children than classic blocks?
Lego Juniors - for children from 4 to 7 years old
Lego Juniors sets have been designed with children in mind from 4 to 7 years old. The manufacturer recommends them to younger children who are looking forward to playing with classic blocks. The size does not differ from classic Lego bricks. Included, however, is more larger elements that are supposed to facilitate building, but just like in the bricks for a senior, there are also a lot of small parts - easy to get lost.
Lego Juniors sets are divided by difficulty levels, which should be appreciated, because children are constantly growing, developing and acquiring new skills, so it's great when the toy gives them the opportunity to play in many ways.
Lego Juniors sets are included clear instructions. Thanks to this construction is much simpler.
Lego Juniors reviews
Is Lego Juniors a good choice for a four-year-old?
We checked on less than four years old (child aged 3 years and 11 months). And you have to admit that we have mixed feelings. The chosen set actually allows you to build a construction in a fairly simple way, but it is difficult to expect that a child will cope with this task alone. There are a lot of large elements, the construction is intuitive, there is still an instruction ... but it is probably not enough. In addition, small blocks (and there are a lot of them) are a challenge for small hands, which are not yet functional enough to easily connect small elements. That is why our tester had moments of impatience when she pressed the pads too hard and the structure fell apart.
For casual fun Lego Duplo is still better. Reaching for it, a four-year-old can easily create creative buildings, without parental assistance. In the case of Lego Juniors, our tester expected the closeness of my mum or dad and asked for help many times when any of the elements fell off. Also the first meeting with Lego Juniors was on average successful.
Transmission Lego Juniors six years old however, allowed observation completely different. A child of this age no longer has a problem with building himself with blocks, copes with them (due to simpler constructions) definitely better than with classic Lego. Lego Juniors turned out to be a bull's-eye for a six-year-old, and not exactly for a four-year-old.
The upside is definitely that the elements from Lego Juniors match the classic blocks.
