Ingredients for almond milk

- a glass of almonds with the skin or flaked almonds (for shorter soaking),

- four glasses of water,

- a little salt,

From these ingredients arises about a liter of almond milk, which can be refrigerated for 2-3 days.

In addition, you need a large gauze (minimum 50 cm by 50 cm) / cloth or diaper diaper, blender (I used a hand blender, it can also be a cup), a strainer and a mixing bowl.

You can add stevia, a little grated vanilla pod to milk. For taste, it is also worth adding honey.

How to prepare almond milk?

Pour almonds and a glass of water over the skin and leave it to soak overnight, about 8 hours.

You can peel them. To this end, pour boiling water over them, wait 10 minutes, pour cool water and peel. The skin should come off easily.

The next day, soaked almonds rinse under cold water. We pour out the water in which they soaked.

We put almonds in a dish, pour one glass of warm spring or boiled water. Mix with a blender. Strain through a gauze strainer, squeeze firmly to extract all milk.

Then put the almonds in the dish again, pour another glass of water, add a little salt and mix again, pour through a gauze strainer and squeeze.

Pour almonds a glass of water twice more, mix and strain.

If you have a cup blender and you can put all the water in it, you can prepare milk much faster. I prepared them according to the method described above.

Ready milk

The remaining almonds can be mixed with milk, add your favorite sweetener / sugar and use the mass to stuff the dumplings. Suitable as an addition to yogurt, fruit, porridge. It can also be used to prepare cakes without baking. Inspirational recipes can be found on many blogs.
