Various surveys show that less than 60% of gay and lesbian parents know the truth about their children's sexual orientation. Over 40% of people with different sexual orientation hides this fact from their parents, thus excluding them from sharing important areas of everyday life with them.

From March 1, the "Parents, dare to speak" campaign begins, which focuses on the feelings of homosexual and bisexual parents. The initiator of the poster is the Campaign Against Homophobia. One of her three main faces is the actor Jan Kowalski and his son.

Posters with the faces of the mother, father and both parents with children will hang for 140 months in the largest cities: Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków and Poznań. The posters will show the slogan "Daughter taught me courage", "Son taught me how important it is to be myself", "Daughter taught us to speak openly".

The patronage of the action was taken by Sejm Deputy Speaker Wanda Nowicka, Government Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment Agnieszka Kozłowska-Rajewicz and the President of the Capital City Warsaw Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz.
