The peach is a fantastic fruit with antioxidant properties. They are also good for the skin and teeth. So nothing like using them when preparing a dessert for children.

Do you know what a Danish is? A puff pastry puff in the shape of a flower filled ... in this case, with peach! We offer you this fantastic and exquisite recipe, so you can surprise your children for breakfast or snack. In addition, the homemade flavor of these buns is incomparable.

  • 150 ml of hot milk
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 30 grams of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 475 g of strength flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash of vegetable oil
  • 250 gr of butter without salt and very cold
  • 200 gr of peach jam
  • 1 small tub of cottage cheese
  • 1 small can of peach in syrup

1. In a bowl, mix the milk with the yeast and a tablespoon of sugar. We cover with plastic wrap for 20 minutes.

2. Add 2 eggs, beat and reserve.

3. In another container, sift the flour, salt and the rest of the sugar, and incorporate the previous mixture in the center.

4. We stir and knead until we get a soft dough with which we will form a ball.

5. Grease a glass container with vegetable oil, introduce the dough and cover with transparent film. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

6. We roll out the dough with a square-shaped roller.

7. Cut the butter into 4 pieces and place them over half of the dough.

8. Cover the butter with the other half of the dough and press the edges with the rolling pin making sure they are well sealed.

9. We roll out the dough again in the shape of a rectangle. (The length must be triple the width)

10. Fold the left third of the dough halfway and the right third above. We wrap the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

11. We roll out the dough again in the shape of a rectangle and fold it in the same way. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

12. We repeat the entire step one more time.

13. Finally, we spread the dough giving it a thickness of approximately 1 cm, and we cut it into 10 cm squares.

14. We make diagonal cuts in the corners of each square without reaching the center. We put a teaspoon of jam in the center and fold the corners.

15. We place the Danish on a baking tray, covered with greaseproof paper, and cover with a cloth.

16. Let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm place. We preheat the oven to 180ºC.

17. We paint the Danish with the remaining egg and bake on top for approximately 20 minutes.

18. Let cool and decorate with cottage cheese and the peach in syrup cut into pieces.
